Project negotiation and influencing

This section of learning is aimed at personal development and skills. All of these knowledge and skills based learning titles are to help you communicate, become more confident and support your development in Change and projects delivery. These are the foundation level byte sized learning sessions however, pertinent to all. All sessions will require some reflection, participation and embedding of techniques in the real world to ensure you and your organisation gain value from the learning intervention.

Becoming strategically agile, i.e., having the right knowledge and skills can make you a great negotiator and influencer.  This session will provide the basic understanding, skills and confidence to be able to achieve that.  Familiarising participants with the principle position of both parties and what the ideal outcomes would be.  Questioning, dealing with objections and communicating with purpose are all covered in this session.  You will leave this session with tools and techniques that help plan your negotiation.

By the end of this session participants will be able to:

  • prepare and plan for your conversation
  • ask high impact questions that can help negotiate and influence
  • use tools and techniques to deal with objections.
